What to know
An automation needs one trigger, optional conditions, explicit actions, and a visible ending. Previewing does not modify work. Editing an active rule requires a fresh preview so its consequences remain inspectable.
Do this
- 1. Start from a recipe or guided automation.
- 2. Choose When, If, and Then.
- 3. Preview an example and one real action.
- 4. Inspect the changes, then activate.
